Hello everyone, here's a logo I've come up with for the portable fork:
As you can see, I wanted to incorporate the fork shape so you'd instantly recognize the product for what it is, a fork. I'm still playing around with typefaces, so this may or may not change.
I've also made a bus stop poster based on one by the Hard Rock Cafe:
The fork is bent to seem as if it is giving the viewer the peace sign. The copy reads, "You remembered to bring a fork." The point I'm trying to bring forward is that the user is at peace because they are able to eat their food.
I haven't started working on the actual product, but like the TripStixx, it will have a detachable base for easy storage into its case. I was trying to find different methods for attaching the tip to the base, whether it would screw on, or simply snap together. I would like a mechanism that is quick and easy to come together without compromising the fork's sturdiness. The fork would be useless if it fell apart inside your Top Ramen, or if it become lost in between your croutons and cherry tomatoes.
I mentioned the case, it would look something like this:
A very simple yet sturdy case, very much like a sunglasses case. You would be able to fit a pair of forks, or the base and several tips. The color scheme used throughout the project will be silver, to emphasize the "silverware" aspect of the fork even though this one is portable.
As far as the promotional items, I will probably make a website and a point of purchase display. I imagine this sort of thing would be sold at Bed Bath & Beyond or The Sharper Image.

I really like your logo. It's simple, yet it intergrades the product and name very well! I think this product is going to be great!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Job on the poster and the logo. May I suggest a different case design. something more streamlined.
